My dad had a habit of volunteering me for projects he knew I could figure out. He’d come up with an idea, provide the materials, and say, “Let’s do it.”
But once he said “let’s,” the rest was usually up to me. I had to determine how to build it, install it, repair it, or make it work. After hearing “let’s” enough times—and being the one who got it done—“Let’s” became my nickname.
